From this green spot in the middle of the Øresund you find peace and tranquility and can fully enjoy the view of the capital's vibrant life from a distance.

Every year the season starts the last weekend in April.

We do not sail every day in the start and end of the season, and we ALWAYS recommend to book tickets in advance, as we only sail if there are bookings for departures.

Spar Shipping has for more than 25 years sailed guests to the island. It takes around 40 minutes to sail to Flakfortet from Nyhavn and it is a very beuatiful ride through the harbour, past all the popular sights: The Actor house, the Opera, Amaliegarden, the little mermaid, Holmen and further out to Flakfortet, the 100 year old sea fort.

Enjoy a meal in restaurant Flakfortet, beatifully situated at the habour side with a splendid view over the Øresund. Play miniature golf on the quay, spend the night, participate in treasure hunts, team matches and ghost hunting - ALL are welcome!

The island has a small kiosk where you can buy cool drinks, ice cream and other goodies. Accommodation is also offered on Flakfortet, youth hostel style, fell free to contact the harbour office for pricing and info.
